  • BIDS is now SSDT (SQL Server Data Tools)

  • You can choose to install Buisness Intelligence Development Studio for SQL Server 2012 during the Setup, or later to add the studio to the existing installation.

    The current version BIDS 2008R2 uses VS 2008, the next version SSDT (formerly BIDS) 2012 will use VS 2012.
