Bruno Sonnino shows how these problems have been solved, making UWP a rich, robust platform for developing LoB applications.

  • A question.  This article talks about how SQL in a UWP app is using a SQL client to talk to a local SQL DB using a TCP connection.

Has the sandbox been opened to the point where other UWP client apps apps can use a local TCP connection to a local service?  How is this being done under the covers?  Is this some magic Juju that MS is allowing for SQL server, but we are not able to also use?   Are we now allowing IPC within the machine from UWP <-> services  ?

    THanks
