How to get search url from bing search python?

    Question

  • I am able to manually get the urls from "api.datamarket.azure.com/Bing/Search/Image" with authorization key. What would be it's python equivalent script. Here is a script i had written using bingsearch wrapper.

    import bingsearch
    bingsearch.API_KEY='my key'
    r = bingsearch.request("JohnDalton")
    print r.status_code
    print r[0]['Url']

    Although this threw some errors.

    Thanks.

    It seems that you're using an old wrapper that no longer works with the latest service release. However, the latest Bing Search API is a REST API. It is not needed to use the wrapper, you can make http requests to the API, the same as consuming other REST services. This tutorial may help: http://rest.elkstein.org/2008/02/using-rest-in-python.html.
