The new Client ID can't be used in old Live ID Login SDK.

    问题

  • I have a web project(Take over from others) that seemed use the old login SDK(It refered to a project named Microsoft.Live.Web). It requires in my web.config I need to add:

        <add key="wll_appid" value="000000004815C374" />
        <add key="wll_secret" value="JYKytXA19sdPwXyDUo42RzYXqBdLi-bq" />
        <add key="wll_returnurl" value="..." />

    Now, I need to apply a new appid like this, but from the step of https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb676633.aspx, I can't apply the appid like this anymore in http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=144070. (The new id looks like 7af3e7e7-d07a-4c77-a89b-f061ce3804c4)

    If I create the Client ID and generate a secret, and then copy it in "wll_appid" and "wll_secret", it won't get the auth, How can I apply the old Appid/Secret and set RedirectUrl? Or how can I integrate the new id with the old SDK?

    Thanks!

    The windows live application management site assists you with the registration process, issues your client ID to you, and provides a place where you can continue to manage all the applications you register.

    To complete the integration of your application with Windows Live, you must specify additional settings and publish your application. Click the Essentials link under the box that displays your client ID and secret key

    For more information, please see the document.

    Here is document about how to get client secret, Change a client secret. I hope it would be helpful for you.

  • Thanks for your reply, Hart!

    Emm, I think there is some update about the Live ID login, I found that it has been replaced by OneDrive SDK according to https://github.com/liveservices/LiveSDK-for-Windows , but the OneDrive API didn't provide user's profile. If it's aborted, maybe I need try Microsoft Graph.

    Thank you again!
