windows 8 metro apps C# and WinMD file, how to be obfuscated code? RRS feed

    We wanna to obfuscated the metro apps code(C#), and try to use the dotfuascator 5.5 for VS11. But after done it, We still can see all class interface

    name in appx file(unzip the file). On the other hand, WinMD file also can be decompiling to source code?

    WinMD's manifest just follows the ECMA-335, which is same with the .Net assembly, so you could use the reflector tool to view its manifest, but you cannot decompile the source of the class and method. You just could view its class and methods declarations.
