Live Server not displaying .aspx files like test environment. RRS feed

  • 问题

  • Our live webserver has .NET 2.0 enabled.  I do not know any of the specifics as I do not physical or administrative access to the machine.  I ran a simple test on my local machine which is running IIS.  The test was a simple Hello World app using the .aspx extension.  Unfortunately, when I move the file to the live server, the page fails and I get an error.  Compunding on this is that the error messages are hidden because I do not have access to view them.

Does anyone have a general idea as to why a file with .aspx would not be viewable?  I asked the admin if he would allow the default.aspx in the Enable Default Document list and he did.  Are there general settings I should have set as default to view .aspx files ?

    R/s,
    Dave

  • Hi,

It's not necessary to do any other configuration except the configuration for creating website.

Generally speaking, you can publish your website to your local folder. Then you can copy all the files in the folder to server.

Finally you have to add a new website in IIS and specify the physical path to that folder.

Regarding how to create a new website in iis, you can refer to the following articlee.

    IIS6:http://www.simongibson.com/intranet/iis6/

    IIS7:http://support.gearhost.com/KB/a202/how-to-add-a-website-in-iis-7-on-your-windows-2008-server.aspx
