Backup error RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am getting this error when i am trying to capture the backup  of the Database , Can you please share me some suggestions to resolve the same.

  • By the message I would say you forgot to add a backup media on the first page section "Target" of the backup wizard.

  • Hi Hemadri,

    Have you specified the file name when backing up to device?

    Please make sure that the service account of the SQL Server service has permissions to the physical file or folder on the hard drive, which corresponds to the logical backup device used for database backup. If you are using a job for backup, please also verify the permissions of the SQL SERVER AGENT service.
