Anyboday can help on the following error message during Windows 8.1 HCK for hard disk filter driver? RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a hard disk filter driver need to pass Windows 8.1 HCK.

    As it is associated with hard disk device, so we need to run all listed test case related with hard disk.

    But some of cases are failed, one of them is "Storage Assessment Test".

    Failed error is:

    Cause : The Execute Task with Commandline cmd /c IF "-1" EQU "-1" ( echo "Could not get largest non-boot drive. Most likely the DUT is a boot drive. Cannot run diskpart on boot drive." > diskpart.log & ( IF "1" EQU "1" exit 100 )) ELSE ( diskpart /s diskpart.s > diskpart.log || ( IF "1" EQU "1" exit 101 )) Failed with ExitCode 100

    How to solve it? Anybody can help.

  • Looks like the error was caused by the disk being a boot disk instead of a data disk (no OS partitions on it). If that is true, please test on a data disk. If that is not the case, please open a support case and we can help you through that process.

  • We are seeing same issue for "Flush test".  The DUT is connected as boot disk and we are trying to PASS the WHCK - Flush test to get certified from MS.

    How to fix this?
