Is enabling pagefile only for a specific process possible? RRS feed

    Is there anyway using which I can enable pagefile only for a specific process.

  • The answer is "no".  The page file is system-wide.  Think about what you're asking.  When your process needs more memory, it needs to swap other processes out.

    Your eMMC should last a long time, even using it as a swap file.

  • I have a thin client which often goes for a reboot due to low memory. If I enable pagefile, it solves the problem. But it increases the disk writes which I can't afford as the thin client eMMC flash.
