DEP Issue - How to programmatically add program to exception list of DEP?

    Question

  •

    Hi,

As we know, some programs are often crashed on Vista/Longhorn due to DEP.

There is way to disable DEP by calling the command: "bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff" (without the quotes).

But I want to enable DEP and add these programs to the exception list.

I know how to do it manually, but don't know how to programmatically use commands.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Jommy

  • This is over 2 months old and I still don't see a response. Sad

I'm having the same problem.   I'm just looking for a work around.  I have sites with 1,000s of workstations and doing it by hand isn't really going to fly.

Can it be done with Group policy?
