BLE back to back using win10 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm currently working on BLE communication on Windows 10 (Visual Studio 2017 C# Form application).

I have 2 win10 PCs, one with BLE 4.2 running as GattServer and the other with BLE 4.0 as GattClient.

When running the 2 PC back 2 back the GetGattServicesAsync() on Gatt Client returns 'Unreachable' as error code (the 2 PC are close each other).

However using an IPad Gatt browser the PC Gatt server is ok (I can write and read from the IPad browser).

And using a remote BLE device, the PC Gatt client is also ok - it works (I can write to and read from the device).

It only fails when using 2 PC's back to back (direct win 10 BLE communication).

Changing the project type from Form to UWP or WPF - would this change anything?

    Any ideas?

  • Hi,

    Thank you for posting here.

According to the error message, did you check whether the device is nearby?

From document we know that "If the app needs to access the device again, simply re-creating the device object and accessing a characteristic (discussed in the next section) will trigger the OS to re-connect when necessary. If the device is nearby, you'll get access to the device otherwise it will return w/ a DeviceUnreachable error."

I also find a related thread, you can refer to this.

    Best Regards,
