Directshow, sound stops after 2 minutes when playing videofile (avi) RRS feed

  • Question

  • The file playes fine in older windows versions.

    in graphedit:

filters: sourcefilter, avi splitter, mpeg4s decoder dmo, mp3 decoder dmo, video renderer, default directsound device

i get after running for about 2 minutes the error:

The graph could not change state.

The buffer is not big enough (return code: 0x8004020d)

I tried this on 3 different hardware, with different sound devices, but with the same problem.

Sound is working, but only in this situation this error.

I tried to install DX9c, but that didnt help.

The error is in every video file (with same encoding)

Is this a bug in windows 10, or is there a setting to solve this?

  • I got a work around for the problem.

install the lavsplitter.  Then it will be used for playing avi files istead of the default avi plitter from microsoft (windows 10)

with the lavsplitter the file playes fine.

so the problem must be in the avi splitter from microsoft.

i hope it will be fixed soon.
