    According to the document provided, It just provide the excel 2003 and windows 7. I think that it related to windows version and office.

    If you want to access OLE structured storage from coding, you can try to use the my open source (MPL) library OpenMCDF for a 100% .net implementation of COM structured storage. A sample COM structured storage file viewer is also available as a usage sample of the library.

    For more information about openMCDF library, you can see the relevant solution.
