How to make concurrent camera access work on Windows 10 Anniversary Update? RRS feed

  • Question

  • According to Mike M from Windows Camera Team in this post, Windows 10 Anniversary Update allows multiple applications access a single camera. However, I am not able to get it to work. In my test where I launched two instances of a Media Foundation apps, only the first instance had access to the video stream, the second instance got error

0xC00D3704L (Hardware MFT failed to start streaming due to lack of hardware resources). I also tried with WebEx and Media Foundation sample apps that comes with WinSDK, but non worked. I tested on Windows 10 Professional x64 Version 1703 (OS build 15063.608). Note that I manually started Windows Camera Frame Server before testing. Any help is greatly appreciated!
