WPF window flickers rendering the frames.

  • Hi,

I have a C# application which has a DirectShow layer beneath. I pass on the WPF window handle, X, Y coordinates, Desired width, and height while initializing the filter graph. Using these values, I draw the frames on the WPF window from the DirectShow layer.

In certain desktops, I am facing an issue. I am unable to render the video properly. The screen seems to be flickering (This issue is not recreated in all the desktops).  Please find the screenshot in the following dropbox link.,

The details of one such desktop is.,

    1. Windows 7 professional 64bit OS.
    2. Intel HD graphics

While researching on this issue, the input from certain forums was to update the display driver. But, even after updating, I am facing this issue. Though, the flickering rate has gone down(minor change).

What could be the reason behind this issue? Please share your thoughts to get through this.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Have you checked this is not happening whent there is no dedicated graphic memory (the graphic processor uses part of the CPU memory)?

  • Yes, this is not happening when there is no dedicated graphic memory. This issue is consistently found when I resize the window.
