Override default shell file operations RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I feel very uncomfortable with the UI for file operations in Vista (especially the Replace File dialog), and would like to use an application of my own to handle this.

What's the best way to accomplish this? Does Vista use a plugin structure so I can register my own program somewhere in the registry? I guess I could have a system tray app that tries to intercept the Ctrl-V command, but then I wouldn't be able to handle commands from the Explorer Edit menu. Other ideas?

    Thanks,

    Jonas
