How can i do attestation singing? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, i am trying to do attestation singing but i can't find dashboard to upload my .cab file on my Windows Hardware Dev Center Dashboard. Where can i do it?

from https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/mt790248(v=vs.85).aspx web site, it says

The Windows Hardware Dev Center Dashboard doesn't support Attestation at this time. For all attestation signing, regardless of driver flight status, must go through the legacy dashboard.

from https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/dashboard/  web site, it says

The legacy (Sysdev) dashboard has been retired. Use the Windows Hardware Dev Center Dashboard for your hardware tasks.

  • When signed in to HDC you can go to the dashboard and this page takes you though the steps of creating a submission.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/dashboard/hardware-certification-submissions

This site talks (step 4) talks bout attested signing (site calls it "Perform test-signing for Win10 and above")https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/dashboard/create-a-new-hardware-submission

    See if these help.

  • Hello,

The first link appears to be quite out of date. Please see this link.

  • Hello,

Thank you for reply. i have seen this link before and prepare .cab file. I stop on this step(Submit the EV signed Cab file using the Hardware Dev Center dashboard). i can't find the page to submit cab file from my HDCD

i studied two links that posted before. It says the Windows Hardware Dev Center Dashboard doesn't support Attestation at this time and must go through the legacy dashboard. But another link say  the legacy dashboard has been retired.

               thanks

  • Hello,

Thanks for your help! I follow the pages and go through the steps of creating a submission. I find the page to upload .cab file during new hardware submission. Now i have submitted driver successfully and acquire driver signed by MS

               Thank you so much!
