Is WIC hardware accelerated at all (on WIn7)?
I'd like to convert a YUV frame to a format usable by ID2D1Bitmap - which is then rendered to a D2D target using hardware acceleration.
I currently convert YUV to BGRA manually (i.e. using the CPU) and this introduces an overhead so I was thinking of using WIC to perform the conversion.
However if it isn't hardware accelerated, then there's no point in me doing that as overhead will be the same/worse.
(The best solution would be for ID2D1 to support YUV natively - but this isn't currently the case afaik.)
WIC is not hardware accelerated - all processing is done in software.
