Creating COM Objects - missing something obvious RRS feed

  • Question

  • Trying to create a simple COM accessible dll. I did the walkthrough and used this code sample. After building, I try to access the object with this VB script:

    dim tst
    set tst = CreateObject("ClassLibrary1.ComClass1")
    wscript.echo tst.cserror
    set tst = nothing

Upon running the script, the second line throws an error: "ActiveX component can't create object." The dll, property and method are all recognized in the VS2010 object browser. I gotta be missing something really obvious and would appreciate any help. This is on Win 7 Ultimate, 64-bit.

    TIA
