Cannot delete VM eastus2 RRS feed

  • My eastus2 VM has been deleting for a few hours now, I've tried multiple Deletes at the Resource Group level and the VM level.  Error message says:

     WarningService Management Errors - East US 2 - Applying Mitigation

    SUMMARY OF IMPACT: Starting at approximately 10:00 UTC on 21 Oct 2019, a subset of customers in East US 2 may receive error notifications or experience high latency when performing service management operations - such as create, update, or delete - for resources hosted in this region. Impacted services are listed below. Additionally, customers using Azure Databricks and/or Data Factory v2 may encounter service management errors in multiple regions.

    CURRENT STATUS: Engineers have identified a potential underlying cause and are currently taking steps to mitigate the issue. The next update will be provided in 60 minutes or as events warrant.

    Follow the Azure status page for updates. However once the mitigation is complete your resources should return back to normal.
