  • Tried Solution

Find out that the App Installation Service which is supposed to run every five minutes was not running at all.

It had last run on (10/18/2019 – 2:40 PM).

Attempts to 'Run Now' returned me to the services list with no error or changes.

No log entries to understand why it was doing nothing.

    App Installation Services Status

    System Time Stamp: 10/20/2019 – 3:38 AM

App Installation service last run time: 10/18/2019 – 2:40 PM

Services are running fine for the timer service to function correctly

    • SharePoint Timer Service
    • SharePoint Administration

credentials for the services are correct.

Any other possible solution would be appreciated.

    Thank you

  • Hi Hiren,

After you click the button run now with App Installation Services timer job in CA, go to the Job History list to check if the timer job is running successfully.

If not, Please try to start the timer job using below code and check the Last run time again to verify whether the timer job has been restarted successfully:

    Get-SPTimerJob job-App-Installation | Start-SPTimerJob

If still not succeed, then try to restart the SharePoint Timer service and SharePoint Administration service.

And make sure the App Management Service in Manage Service Applications.

    Clear SharePoint configuration cache.

    After that do an IISRESET.

    Best Regards,

    Julie

  • Hi Hiren,

Whether you run the PS config wizard in each server in your farm after installing the Cumulative Update? If not, run the PS config wizard and check the result.

If the issue still exists, please check the ULS Log for further information.

    Best Regards,

    Julie
