How to connect AzureRedis from Redis-CLI RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am trying to connect the azure redis from CLI using this command.

    redis-cli -h myy.redis.cache.windows.net -p 6380 -a mypassword-hash

It seems connected but when I call "ping", I got this error below.

Error: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

I tried following this article http://azure.microsoft.com/blog/2014/06/04/lap-around-azure-redis-cache-preview/

but I think the author might have the same problem. His screenshot shows "127.0.0.1:6379" even I connected to contoso5.redis.cache.windows.net. Actually, it should show his azure redis server name instead of "127.0.0.1:6379".

Anyone here able to connect your azure redis from CLI?
