Invalid or Untrusted Certificate Error during Installation under UAC on Vista RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • We have an installer built using InstallShield 2008. We use a valid digital certificate to sign the installer.
If installed from a self-extracting installer or when the Protected Mode is OFF, no certificate warnings are issued.
But with Protected Mode ON under UAC we get the following message

"The origin and integrity of this application could not be verified. The
certificate used to sign the software has expired or is invalid or untrusted.
You should continue only if you can identify the publisher as someone you trust
and are certain this application hasn't been altered since publication."

The certificate is obviously valid and not expired.
Has anyone found a workaround to avoid popping up this message?
