I also got a genuine Product Key (Which has been verified by MSDN support)
I installed Windows 8 on a freshly formatted partition. The install proceeded without incident, and the machine is connected to the internet.

License Activation (slui.exe) failed with the following error code:hr=0x8007007F
Other than the Activate button, which generates the above errors, there seems no way to fix the problem from the Control Panel Windows System menu.

Microsoft Technical Support send me to MSDN This is the short version of the run-around I have been getting. On the last circuit of this run-around MSDN support suggested that I posted in this forum. No bad thing, but I expected more from their team.
I have a valid MSDN subscription, a valid personal Microsoft Technical Support Contract number. But nobody in Microsoft or MSDN will help me. Each person just passes the buck, this is the most disturbing and frustrating aspect of this case.
