Upgrading VMM 2016 to 2019 - ASR Redeployment RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi there,

I'm looking at upgrading our VMM from 2016 to 2019, and I've been looking at an article that states:

    docs.microsoft.com/en-us/system-center/vmm/upgrade-vmm?view=sc-vmm-2019

If your current VMM deployment is integrated with Azure Site Recovery, note that:
    • Site Recovery settings can't be upgraded. After the upgrade you need to redeploy.
    • Verify Hyper-V host support for VMM 2019.

I read this as needing to set up ASR again completely; just wanted to check that this is the case.

Will ASR stop working after an upgrade to VMM 2019, and need to be set up again?

If anyone has completed the upgrade to VMM 2019 themselves, and uses ASR, I'd be grateful to hear what was involved in terms of redeploying ASR.

    Thanks!
