Changing application programming language in a later update? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm considering the possibility of writing a first release of an application in Javascript and in a subsequent update changing the application language to C++, depending on whether new features come in that require better graphical performance using DirectX.  Can anyone tell me if this is possible?

  • Hi Adam,

Whether you try to upload a new App or an update to the Store, you are basically putting a new version up and replacing the old one. So if you develop version 1 with Java and then provide version 1.1 with C++, version 1 is replaced with 1.1. The Store will only show the latest version.

    Thanks
