November 2019 eCPM dropping every day RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is anyone else experiencing a huge drop in eCPM from October 17th until now? Mine has dropped from around 35 to 12 in one month. And it looks like it's still dropping every day. Amount of Gaming Hours (duration) have stayed the same.

  • Hi,

Many factors can affect the impressions, such as network issue, Ads provider, Advertising SDK issue etc. Not sure what is the true causes of such unexpected behavior.

You could try to contact the store team about the account issue here: Contact US. Choose to Contact us, select Dashboard for Topic and select Ads in app for issue type and select SDK for subcategory. You could get more help with the account issue via the ticket.

    Best regards,

    Roy

    Yes, to some extent.

One of the major problems is reporting is so far behind all of the time that its next to impossible to drawn any meaningful conclusions from any of the info being provided. When it is provided some of its is clearly totally broken - and regardless of the number of times we send a support ticket nothing ever happens ever.

E.g. the drop above may well be simply because data e.g. SpotX data appears not available from early Nov and depending on how much traffic one supplier represents for you will determine how badly that missing data affects your overall result. (Replace Spot X for any of the other networks in your particular dashboard Ad performance to see which ones could be affecting you)

No other ad channel has anything remotely close to the problems collecting info MS seem to have. They clearly believe its entirely acceptable as its been like this for about 4 yrs and counting.
