[UWP][C#][XBOX] After upgrading Xbox One to OS 10.0.19041.1927, universal applications with SupportsMultipleInstances do not start RRS feed

  • Question

  • After upgrading Xbox One to OS 10.0.19041.1927, multiinstances applications do not start on XBox One. In Visual Studio, I have the message: 'The activation request failed with error: E_INVALIDARG'.
After removing the attribute 'desktop4: SupportsMultipleInstances=" true "' from the manifest in the <Application> node, the application starts correctly on Xbox. Unfortunately, I can't remove this attribute because the same installation package works on desktops where it is needed.
What to do in this situation, when the UWP application is designed to work on desktops (with multiple instances option) and on XBox?

    Thank you

  • Hi Kiczmaker,

This forum is for developers to discuss the publishing issue, your question is out of our scope. By the way, namespace prefix desktop4 only projects that target the desktop, support multi-instancing. Maybe you could replace the prefix desktop4 with the uap10 to try.

  • Hi Daisy

Thank you for your answer. Using the prefix uap10 means that many instances do not start on desktops, so it is useless.

Which forum is the right one to ask about XBox problems? I haven't found the right forum.

    Best regards,
