Cannot update store app since company change RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all, wonder if anyone can please help.

We have a store application that is registered to our old Company Name. Since renaming everything within the partner account, we can no longer update the application, it complains about the publisher name not matching the original.

Wondering if anyone has ever had a similar problem and how they got around it please?

    Thanks

  • Hi Wayne Lee,
Has your account modification been re-verified? Did you change the publisher display name in your package? Changing publisher display name will also cause Microsoft team to verify the account again. If a user do this after he has published an app, he will ll need to modify the publisher display name in app's packages and submit the app again using the updated packages after the account has been re-verified. Fore more details, please refer to Contact info.

  • Hi Daisy

thanks for the reply, yes the account has been fully re-verified and I guess that's the strange and frustrating thing, everything in the partner portal now shows the company details. Even when trying to create a new application it is erroring and complaining about the old company name.

  • Hi Wayne Lee,

Which step did you meet the error? Did you check the PublisherDisplayName in your manifest the same as the PublisherDisplayName in your dashboard?

    Best regards
