Allow rotation on webapp

    Question

  • Hi all,

I have created a Windows 10 webapp which works as expected, but there are times when I would find it useful to be able to rotate it if the phone is rotated. I can't find an option to do this. The only options are portrait, landscape, portrait flipped and landscape flipped, but there is no free rotation option. Of course my Windows 10 phone is rotation unlocked.

Is there any way to enable this? Thanks in advance.

  • Hi,

When you create the HWA you can opt which layout do you want by default (landscape, portrait, landscape flipped or portrait flipped). If you select "Portrait Flipped", the app preference is to show it in portrait but it will rotate when needed.

  • Thank you, I'll try it. The truth is I thought flipped meant just upside down!
