[PYTHON] Locally Hook a Window to listen in on WM_POINTER messages RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, (If this is in the wrong spot, feel free to move it)

I would like to locally hook into a specific Windows process and listen on WM_POINTERDOWN, UP, UPDATE messages (to monitor Touch and Pen input) on a Windows 10 Surface Hub. The twist is that i need to do this in Python. I already tried to implement a SetWindowLongPtrW solution. Now i read that SetWindowSubclass is the easier approach. I just need some pointers what to do, because i can not really find working examples online.

    Help is appreciated!
