Windows Store ID in Facebook App?? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I was updating the Settings and Platforms Info of my app's entry in my Facebook Developer Area. My app has both Windows Store and Windows Phone versions. I could easily find and enter the App ID of the WP app, but couldn't find the App ID of my app in the Windows Store Dashboard nor the App Manifest, especially that it tells me "Not a Valid SID. Valid SIDs start with s-1-15-2".

Please tell me where exactly can I find my app's Windows Store ID, and preferably with an example.

  • I believe you're looking for an ID provided by Facebook for use in your app. The app then sends that ID back to Facebook to identify itself.

  • Shadi.

Take a look at the Web Authentication Broker sample. There is a Facebook authentication sample as part of that.

  • Hi,

When I use this sample, a pop-up will display asking me to enter my facebook login/password. At this point, if I click on "Cancel", nothing happens.. The pop-up doesn't close.

    Could you please help?
