Delete in-app product RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

    Can anyone tell me how to delete an in-app product? I accidently set one up a durable when it should have been consumable and now I can't see a way to delete it.

    Any ideas?

  • Unfortunately you cannot delete anything that was previously published. The simplest workaround is to unpublish and use an alternative alias for the new product. This alias doesn't show in the app or Store, only the Dashboard.

    Thanks

  • Hi Dean, do you see an option to unpublish it from the in-app product page?

  • Hi Danny,

    Yes, I can un-publish it no problem, but I need to setup the same product as a consumable product. I can't add the same product alias twice even if I give it a different product id, so hence I want to delete it completely and set it up again properly.

    Regards,

  • Is there a reason why this is not possible? I was messing around the dashboard and created a sample in-app product just to see how it is created. Now will it stay on my dashboard forever?

  • Hi - I have the same problem also and I tried changing the in-app product's alias. But then I got the following error: You can't change this app or product after you've submitted it.: App alias

    The error prevents me from changing the alias so I can't submit my new product with the same name. Please help.

  • So, can u explain the usage of Delete an add-on method in Windows Store submission API? I've followed the instruction to delete an add-on from my IAP list but it returns the error

    { "code": "InvalidState", "data": [], "details": [],    "message": "Cannot delete in-app-product if it has published submissions or submission in certification phase.",    "source": "Ingestion Api", "target": "id" }

    And I don't see a unpublish button rather visibility options. You mean update the visibility option to stop acquisition to unpublish an add-on?
