UWP - Handle multiple files activation RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

From the Explorer, when I select more than one music file, I can only open them with Groove Music, even if my app has the corresponding file type associations. So, is it possible to activate an app with more than one file, like Groove Music does ?

  • Hi,

Well, if you wants to open multiple files at once, the system will launch the default app for these files. It doesn't like opening signal file that you could choose which app to launch. If you need to change this behavior, you need to change the default app for such type. For example, if you wants to open multiple .mp4 files with your app, you'll have to change the default type for .mp4 files in the settings.

    Like this:

After that, when you open those files, it will automatically launch your app.

    Best regards,

    Roy
