[UWP] Cannot upgrade WP81 application to UWP because of "App Policies: 10.8.3" RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I've just migrate from WP81 to UWP one of my application called Wallet (see http://windowsphone.com/s?appid=9b840730-d1d7-48c9-af41-0bfe9f5b410d )

Since now I didn't have any problem for submitting updates, but when submitting UWP version it failed because of:

App Policies: 10.8.3 Transactions - Banking and Financial Information
If your app collects financial account information, you must submit that app from a Business account type.

The point is that failed for ALL versions (current and old ones)

Could anybody guide me how to solve this?

Is there any way to convert my account to business account?

Or is there any way to workaround this?

    Any help??

    Thank you

  • Hello no.where.man,

This may occasionally occur if details such as the one received are missed during the certification process initially. At this time, the functionality to alter account types is not available, so the best option would likely be to create a new business developer subscription account. For further clarification, please create a request with us here through your developer account so we may assist you. Thank you!

  • The point is that I'm not a company, I'm an individual, how can I create a company account? Make no sense.

  • Confirmed!

I CANNOT create a company account!! I've just received an email from support saying ...

I understand you're wanting to start submitting applications on your account.  As it turns out if you're not a business you will be unable to submit apps on this account.  All business accounts are validated by Symantec and/or Dun & Bradstreet before apps can be submitted on them.  If you're not a business, you'll need to setup a new individual account under a different email.  ....

    infinite loop

What "notes" did you pass whom? I'm currently having the same issue with my latest UWP app. I think this is due to that my app embedds the Amazon.com website, which interally allows to store creditcard infos.

But I have no clue what I have to do to fix this...

    Thank you in advance! :)

  • Hi,

Before appear W10, there was a way to upload a doc, that I used to add some extra test cases. I use to confirm that I'm not transmitting sensitive data over internet, neither store.

With W10 there are no way, but I put a link to a onedrive document with same test cases.

But I'm not sure if can be apply in your case.
