All replies

  • Only one for me : Install Xamarin --> Convert ALL your Windows app to Android --> Install Google AdMob and test your apps on Microsoft Surface Duo (boot on Android partition) --> Earn money (if Surface Duo is a success)

    --== ironic mode off ==--

  • Seem to be no alternative.
I'm going to switch to the new platform. There is no other way.

    Sunday, February 2, 2020 9:58 AM
  • Thanks L.a.t, Can you please explain what is the new platform?
    Monday, February 3, 2020 9:23 AM
  • Adduplex, Vungle, Addeals
    Thursday, February 6, 2020 4:17 AM
  • Adduplex has no monetization ads

    Vungle only has Video ads.

    Addeals has no fill rate.

    Thursday, February 6, 2020 6:56 AM
  • Adduplex has monetization. Pls find it at home page.
    Thursday, February 6, 2020 3:33 PM
  • There's no option to monetize in AdDuplex, only cross promotion on the home page.
    Thursday, February 6, 2020 5:16 PM
  • AddDuplex has invite only for monetization. Apply this form and they will contact you via email with instructions.

  • Here's a notion. Set up a Google AdSense account. Host a web page with the Google AdSense control code. Suck that web page up into the "box" you currently display banner ads in. Will the ad refresh and display automatically? I'm thinking yes. If you click on it will a web page launch? I'm thinking yes, that can be handled. Will you make income from that as you would the banner ads MS fed the system? Why not? Anyone?

  • Do this, and wait for one month. They will ban you from Adsense for sure. It is restricted to put ads on WebView.... So, don’t even try this. Just make a google search and read about this case. Only Admob is for apps and they have stop their SDK for windows phone apps some years ago. MS and Google are on different routes, they are competitors. The only solution is Microsoft ads (previous known as Bing ads). They are powerful, they are of high quality and they are from Microsoft! But.... Microsoft don’t want to support the Windows apps! So please, create an SDK!!! I’m waiting from Taboola and Outbrain to do something.... I wrote it on another post: Every serious Ad Network company has a label on its homepage: Every screen, every type, every size, everywhere..... And something else: Desktop users are more profitable for every ad network. Even in Google who run the AdWords ads in parallel (Adsense for websites) and Admob for the apps, the same click from the same user is greater in Adsense than Admob...

Against their ToS and you are likely to have the ad cancelled by Google imo.

  • Adduplex do not accept your App,if you have less than 10.000 impresdions per day!

How will you bring your App to the market with such a limitation?

  • Also - AdDuplex will disable your account if you have too many impressions.  Kid you not - they sent us a "unless you start buying impressions we're closing your account since it's 'unfair to everyone else because you have too much traffic'".  No idea why they don't just fix their system's fill algorithms, but AdDuplex has serious systemic problems that frankly look a bit like extortion and shakedowns once you reach a certain level.

  • So, yeah, I see how this will not work, and did check with AdSense boards and they verified too - and pointed me to AdMob. And am still checking with them, but do see how they support phone back in 8 days but then discontinued.

I realize they are MS and Google are competitors; were I a Google guy I might be inclined to open the AdMob SDK to us UWP guys just to spite MS for taking away theirs.

I did run across a link - https://www.xamarinexpert.it/admob-made-easy/ - that looks interesting for an open source SDK that might work.  I have in a question to see what the owner thinks.

    Thanks for all the feedback/answers!

  • There is AdDeals : www.addealsnetwork.com

AdDeals supports both Interstitials & Rewarded videos via Windows native & Unity SDKs.

It supports Unity games with a native SDK that has been updated to support Visual Studio 2019, the latest Unity versions, IL2CPP and pass Microsoft WACK tests when submitting apps or games.

From the publishers working with AdDeals, the integration has been made very easy with new SDKs released even in late 2019.

I hope this will help developers here.

AdDeals will not fill in 100% of your ad spaces for 2 reasons :
    - The algorithms send ads based on in-app performances & users' interests. Therefore you have some games / apps with large fill rates, others with low fill rates. That's also how Advertisers can keep on running campaigns and have profitable campaigns. Additionally, you will get higher fill rates in countries like US, CA, Western Europe (FR, DE…)

    - Second, it doesn't focus on fill rates as it aims at sending the right ads to the users where it makes sense and optimizes the CPMs for Publishers. Although, in some cases, we can increase the fill rates in games / apps with large volumes in case it's proven that the ads are working well.

So we can just invite Windows game / apps publishers to try and see if this works for their apps. We have had some publishers earning large revenues in some of their apps.

I hope this message will help the community here.

  • Keep in mind that Vungle is not a viable option for Xbox One.  It's unsupported and clicking close on a video ad will still redirect your user to the Microsoft Store.  That leaves AdDeals and AdDuplex.

  • there a new one called adsjumbo, does any one has experience with them?
    Thursday, March 19, 2020 10:47 AM
  • I would have advised you to use Google Adsense but doing what has been recommended violates the terms of service of Google.

    I suggest you try AdDuplex.

I believe it will work on Windows Virtual Desktop as well.

    Regards.

  • How have you determined they are a 'fake company' ?

They are registered at Companies House in the UK, as a UK based company. Whilst dormant, they look like they are 'waking up'.. according to the online filings...

    Thursday, March 26, 2020 8:02 AM
  • Adsjumbo are scammers. Had their ads few days. eCPM is very low around 0.03. Avoid them. Switched back to nothing. Sometimes nothing is better. Also they have some adult ads causing you problems with store copa etc.

  • Dear Developers,

My name is Katie and and I represent AdsJumbo, an advertising platform for Windows 10 apps. Currently we work with some of the biggest ad tech companies and app developers.

We are real company. Our company is a registered in the UK, including our office. We have many years of experience in ad tech industry. We aren't definitely a fraudulent company or "scammers". We pride ourselves on full transparency.

Our ad network serve ads from ad exchanges which definitely don't contains any adult ads. We also follow the Windows COPPA rules, the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and the latest Media Rating Council (MRC) standards. IAB periodically review and update industry standards for ads. We like the truth and not just lies. Of course, if your app has an advertising impression of 50 or 500 daily you can't expect such a big revenue. Of course, if you have a lot of daily active users with ad impressions of over 30,000 or more, the results are definitely great with us!

As you know the number of ad providers is limited on the Windows platform, this also applies for current UWP ad solution by Microsoft. Please keep in mind that we are daily working to provide a great solution for all developers to increase them revenue with our new ad tech partners and new possibilies. Regarding eCPM, yes sometimes it can be lower since markets such as Indonesia, Mexico or Asia has much lower revenue than US market (United States) or EU (such as Germany, France or even United Kingdom ). It depends where your users come from.

Regarding to many questions about Google Advertising on Windows platform, We'll give you a tip:

As you may know Google isn't supported on the Windows 10 platform as it only supports personalized ads (non-iframed ads with cookie history). We highly advise don't using this as you run the risk of a against Google Policy or earnings deduction.
Our advertising technology uses only non-personalized ads from the Google advertising network if available, through our third-party ad partners and our ad exchange, so you can rely on just the best ads which are delivered into your app / ad unit. :)

    Some info about us:

    1. We are UK company, We Partner with a Focus on Quality & Reach

    2. We pay on a Net 30 term (one of the best in the industry).

    3. Our default payment method is PayPal. We also supports bank wire transfer.

    4. We provide fast and easy integration of simple, lightweight SDK available via NuGet

    5. Many ad formats (Banner Ads: 160x600,728x90, 300x250, 300x600, 320x50, 300x50, Full Page and Interstital Ads)

Btw. Regarding users false statements Baumsoft or Ascension 2040: We understand your claim, but it's not true. Nobody will force you to use our advertising network, but please don't honestly talk about us as fraudsters when it's not true. Our advertising solution is tailor-made with AI. algo and the ads are from Ad Exchanges including our connected Ad Tech partners.

    We welcome any constructive feedback!

    Have a wonderful day!

    Warm regards from AdsJumbo

  • You guys need to fix the report, It's totally wrong with CTR > 50% (more half of people will click a banner). And eCPM is still low (<0.1$)

I expect eCPM will be 0.2$

But may be AdsJumbo will be our future if they fix issues

Now, you need to ask yourself why would a company suddenly hide their company name?  All companies have public information available.  Here's a link for all the information you need from the company running Adsjumbo.com:

  • Hi Super Sky Dev,

We don't understand what is happening, but there is certainly no reason to hide our company details or hide any information about our company. The same applies to the Developer Agreement and Advertiser Agreement. Especially for you, we are a legit company and of course our website is still the same. :)

You can check it by yourself:

    adsjumbo.com

    adsjumbo.com/joinus

Yes, our company you can find in the Companies House. But what's changing on, do you have any problem with us? Or are you a competitor trying to slander us? Let's be honest.

If you want to use our advertising solution you can anytime. But if you don't, you can use any other ad providers. Nobody forces you. It depends on your choice. We pride ourselves on a full transparency. Our ad solution is based on modern technologies with many connected ad tech partners, to maximize your revenue with 100% fill rate worldwide. Our AdsJumbo SDK is maintained regularly and is available on NuGet and GitHub.

Btw. We love the truth and not lies or fiction. :)

Otherwise have a wonderful weekend and day!

    We welcome any constructive feedback!

    Best regards from AdsJumbo.

  • A new ad monetization platform called Pubfinity was created for UWP apps because Microsoft is shutting down its own Ad Monetization platform. Pubfinity was created by Sam Kaufmann, the owner of Random Salad Games, which has several apps in the Microsoft Store, including Simple Solitaire, Simple Mahjong, and Hearts Deluxe. Kaufmann told CNBC that he made a seven-figure income off his apps, which is enough to pay his group of developers. Kaufmann suspected that Microsoft might pull the plug on its Ad Monetization platform, so he began work on a replacement months ago.

When Microsoft first announced that it was ending support for its Ad Monetization platform, many complained about a lack of alternatives. Additionally, Microsoft's poor communication on the matter exacerbated the situation and led to frustration from UWP developers. Even before that announcement, Kaufmann noticed that the performance and quality of ads within his apps were declinining. Kaufmann created an SDK that could slot in and replace Microsoft's ad monetization efforts. That creation turned into Pubfinity.

My experience with AdsJumbo after month of testing (in my Twitch app), so eCPM is a bit lower $0.13, but also fill rate is pretty good almost 99%, compared to the previous use of Microsoft Ads.

  • I'm trying to replace the Microsoft AdControl.
I'm just installing the SDKs and I'm thinkig about creating an AdRotator for Banner and Interstitial ads.
I found 6 candidates: AdsJumbo, AdDeals, Vungle, AdDuplex, Pubfinity, VMAX. But I have not so much info about them.

    - AdsJumbo
    eCPM "$ 0.1" by L.a.t
eCPM "$0.13, but also fill rate is pretty good almost 99%" by Good Media Group

    - AdDeals
    Anyone has any info?

    - Vungle
They have introduced banner ads in the latest SDK!
    Anyone has any info?

    - Pubfinity: not public yet?
    Anyone has any info?

    - AdDuplex:
On monday I received a letter that AdDuplex suspend the AdDuplex monetization program inmediately, because of the virus situation, there are no advertisers there.

    - VMAX:
I'm not able to download the Windows 10 SDK from VMAX. And I'm not sure that will it work on desktop UWP. Anyone has any info?
    https://www.vmax.com/vmax-sdk-for-windows-10-mobile/

So the current candidates which can work: AdsJumbo, AdDeals, Vungle.
Maybe it is not worth to create an AdRotator them?

Anyone has experience rotating between these Ad Controls?

  • I have experienced all of the above ad networks, and here is my review after trying it out:

Adduplex: cross-advertising only, not making money
VMAX: I have been used on Winphone, it requires too many permissions (reading, writing, location ... blah), there are many junk ads, low fillrate and ecpm.
Vungle: suitable for the game, because no banner, fillrate is not too high.
Addeals: Interstitial only, no banner, low fillrate.
    Pubfinity: awaiting for operation
Adsjumbo: ecpm is a bit low but good fillrate, the data is updated real time on the dashboard

    Currently I am using Adsjumbo.

    Saturday, April 25, 2020 2:57 AM
  • I'm using vungle banner ads since few days, till now no ads are being served in my app (it is still in beta).
    Monday, April 27, 2020 9:41 AM
  • Hello, how to make an adrotator, do you have examples, links? thanks
    Monday, April 27, 2020 9:51 AM
  • With AdsJumbo interstitial ad, I have to hide (set visibility to collapsed) the underlaying content to see the interstitial ad.

    InterAds.ShowInterstitialAd();

The problem with this, that there are no events for AdDisplayed and InterstitialAdAvaliable.

    Anyone has soltution for that?

    Tuesday, May 5, 2020 3:20 PM
  • @L.a.t have you received payment from AdsJumbo?

Anyone received payment from AdsJumbo? Is it a trustworthy company?

    Tuesday, May 5, 2020 4:49 PM
  • My experience:

    - AdsJumbo: eCPM is very very low: $0.03. (Fill reate 100%)
They have interstitial ads, but in the report you cannot see how many banner or interestial ad displayed, only the sum of them dispslayed.
Maybe their interstital ad count the same as a if a banner ad displayed for 30 sec?

    - AdDeals: eCPM and revenue is $0.00 !!

    - Vungle: 0 impression with banner ads.
How you can see fill rate wiht interstitial ads? I see only Views and Completes in the report, but no request count or fillrate.

after searching for AdsJumbo's info detail, the company seems only there are 2 persons, so my worry is the same as yours, don't know if it is trustworthy company?

    Friday, May 8, 2020 1:09 AM
  • No my AdsJumbo's eCPM is more lower: $0.01. I'm thinking about removing AdsJumbo banner ad, because it's not worth it to display.

@L.a.t: What is your eCPM by AdsJumbo?

Do you able to see Interstital ad display count in the AdsJumbo report?

    Friday, May 8, 2020 8:46 AM
  • From adsjumbo.com:

"NOTICE! We just got word that one of our larger programmatic partners (AppNexus and Criteo) who just ended cooperation with us.
Because of the size of this buyer, unfortunately this will cause a direct drop eCPM in our ad network globally."

It still seems good, their support is also okay.

Sure you did.  You made this account 15 mins ago to let devtommy know you got paid and are still getting $0.7 ecpm.  What a laugh.

I gave everyone all the information they needed about this company and apparently no one did their research.  How can you guys develop apps and not have the skills to do some simple google searching?  No one noticed that all of the accounts claiming to get paid were all created to make that post?

  • Hello : Finally, I switch 70% of my apps (I love so much Windows 10 apps !!!) on AdsJumbo last month (Please note, I am not sponsored by them and I'm a real person !). Their eCPM is good but depends on the days (and yesterday's announcement does not reassure me ;-)

In April, I have earned 843$ (vs 1000$ - 1500$ with MS) but the bank transfer is still pending... I hope this is not a scam but have we any other choice????

Sorry if we went silent here.

Firstly a few important comments here:
    1. devtommy is maybe Super Sky Dev, I will not address their accusations as they add nothing to this thread and is just trying to defamate our image.
    2. We cannot guarantee eCPM rates at the same level. As for AppNexus and Criteo, yes, it was our biggest programmatic partner, but we are already working on a new contracts. Our ad network is still running and will continue without change. Definitely do not despair. :)

Payments are always sent to everyone as well as to other developers in payment term.

@devtommy The logo is our official. The icon / all graphics assets was purchased by our company from our graphic designer. If in the past it was obviously the year 2016, from the same graphic designer.

Thanks for the update and support, @JEFBCreating! we are doing our best.

Btw. Of course, you can also use other ad providers. No one is forcing you, everyone has a choice. :) You can combine our ad solution with others ad providers if you wish. There is no condition of exclusivity.

We respect your decisions to discuss, expose and decide whether to work with us or not as long as we are having a healthy conversation around the ad industry.

    Thanks for understanding. 👊

Otherwise have a wonderful weekend and day!
    Best regards from AdsJumbo.

  • @macintoshpro Thank you the info!

Is anyone else receive payment from AdsJumbo?

@macintoshpro What is your eCPM from AdsJumbo? I have very low: $0.01.

I'm just not understand how AdsJumbo count the interstitial ad displays? Because in the report there are now differentiation from Banner ads.

I'm testing AdDeals and Vungle also for Interstitial ads. Both have 0 eCPM for a lot of country like France. What is your experience?

  • I am trying to test with Vungle, but their .GetInstance method give me this exception:

System.IO.FileLoadException: 'Could not load file or assembly 'System.Runtime.WindowsRuntime, Version=4.0.11.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089'. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)'

Do you have any idea why ?

I am running VS 2019 with target with 18362 and min Fall Creators Update.

I get the feeling they are using a really old build target ?

    What do you have ?

    - IronSource: just for Android and iOS

Pubfinity: nothing, no SDK, no signup???

You can use Pubfinity if your app has a large amount of Impressions per month. I think there must be over 10 million impressions

  • I have a question who have received payment from AdsJumbo.

How do you give invoice to them? I mean to issue an invoice you need to have AdsJumbo EU VAT number and write it to the invoice. The problem is that AdsJumbo not providing me their EU VAT number. So if I recive payment from them I'm unable to issue invoice (without their EU VAT number).

Anyone has any info/solution about this?

  • Since beginning of June, Adsjumbo's performace dropped 80-90%, is anyone the same as mine ?
    Thursday, July 2, 2020 1:02 AM
  • Hi L.a.t

Unfortunately I see no change in AdsJumbo eCPM: $0.01-$0.03 which is very low. (fill rate is 100%).

Have you received payment from AdsJumbo?

    Friday, July 3, 2020 2:12 PM
  • Yes I have, around 25-28th monthly by PayPal
    Sunday, July 5, 2020 10:13 AM
  • Thanks the info!
What is your eCPM now from AdsJumbo as its performace dropped by 80-90%? How much was before?

    Sunday, July 5, 2020 2:23 PM
  • I don't know how they calculated the fillrate when the impressions was only 1/10 compared to the previous MsAds and eCPM ~ $ 0.12.
In recent days the number of impressions has increased by 10 times but the eCPM has dropped to ~ $ 0.02.
