IAP Durable Losing Activation RRS feed

  • Question

  • This issue with Microsoft's Store server has been around since 2015 and now it is back in a big way.  Dozens of users are contacting us saying that their previous purchases are no longer activated across all of our apps.  Please get this fixed asap and we would appreciate it if we wouldn't see it again as it seems to popup every now and then especially when an update is pushed out.

  • Hi GameFace.LLC,
    Did you set the Product lifetime for your Durable add-on ? If you let it with default , there may be some thing wrong as you said. Since the forum couldn't track your add-ons or apps, could you make a support ticket to contact the team which can track the process of the add-on to consult this issue? If you receive no response from the team,please post the ticket number here , I will help you to contact the team with the number.

    Best regards

  • Yes, the product lifetime was set.  Our add-ons have been around for a few years.  Issues seem to popup sometimes after an app update is sent out even though the code for IAP hasn't been touched in a long time.  We've already submitted a ticket.

    When the issue occurs, for some reason the following code tells the app that the user hasn't purchased an IAP, when they have purchased it.

    StoreAppLicense appLicense = await WindowsStoreContext.GetAppLicenseAsync();
