Thread exits RRS feed

  • Question

  • This is just a general question but why do I keep getting thread exit errors in my game when im not multithreading anything? They keep exiting with the error code 259. Is this related to the windows phone ad sdk?

  • if you are using directx or XNA for your game, you will automatically have two threads, one which displays and one which buffers. Additional threads might be spawned for buffering stage.

If you are using Silverlight or Windows Runtime, anytime you use the await keyword, you generate a background thread (Tasks are just threads with loads of syntactic sugar for callbacks).
