  • I get an email that the Indonesia Product app with store ID: 9p8fk0pq86sr status is attention needed. The reason is "The app poses a risk to the users or to the security or functionality of the device or the store." Apps can not transmit passwords as plain text. " In this application password entered by the user at login or create an account. Does it still need to use encryption? How to apply it?

    Yes, you still need to encrypt the passwords info.

    You could connect to your app service through https which will encrypt the data for you.

    For more details, you could refer to SSL connections.

    Is the link used to login must be https?

    Https is just one of the options for you.

    You can also encrypt the data using some algorithm. You just need to make sure it will not be transmitted as plain text so that your app will not violate the Store Policy.
