  • Hi,

After confirmed with the team, yes, there are no code samples or documents about how to use APIs from Windows.Media.Miracast namespace.

But we do have a question here. Could you please tell me why you need to use Miracast? What specific feature you want to implement?

    Best regards,

    Roy

  • thank you very much

We want to implement the miracast receiver function on the windows side. Our app will also implement airplay reception, dlna reception, and bjcast reception (our company has a special wireless projection protocol).
On this basis, we will add some additional control features, such as stream forwarding, recording, multi-screen, etc.

    Is this namespace available?
Do We have the ability to develop related functions without sample code: just create a link to the miracast source and get the audio and video stream.

  • Hi,

To get video steam and video steam for casting, there are other official samples about it. Like BasicMediaCasting and AdvancedCasting. These are available samples that could help you about media casting.

    Best regards,

  • There are some APIs that only have a definition in the document, like VPN, like Miracast. I think Microsoft is very cautious when some developers wants to use such API so they won't give any samples. I don't know why. You can only do it yourself.
