Does Lookup only refer to the key in the SQL DB? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I'm learning azure right now so sorry for the basic question.

    I built a SQL DB schema and placed it in Azure.  The primary key is an incrementing int.  I also created a field in each of my primary tables called "guid" and I'd like to use that field to refer to items vs. the incrementing integer.

    In looking at the sample todo code I see this:

            // GET tables/TodoItem/48D68C86-6EA6-4C25-AA33-223FC9A27959
            public SingleResult<TodoItem> GetTodoItem(string id)
            {
                return Lookup(id);
            }

    It looks like a guid is being passed into the lookup which is what I'm looking at doing.  I don't want to create the "sample" sql db because it took me a while to figure out how to get my DB up in azure...  What is the schema and what is "id" referring to? Is it the key in the table?
