Can you publish Windows Forms client apps in the Windows store? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there someone who checks your app to see if it's

publishable?  If you use forms, do they have to be WPF?

How is the price of your app established?

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uwp/porting/desktop-to-uwp-packaging-dot-net

You set the price on your app.

  • Hi Brmoore,

    >Is there someone who checks your app to see if it's publishable?

Yes,after you successfully upload the app's packages and submit the app for certification, the packages are queued for testing. Microsoft will display a message if they detect any errors during processing .Derive from document: The app certification process

    >If you use forms, do they have to be WPF?

No,you could publish UWP apps directly or publish converted Desktop apps. If you want to publish desktop apps(Win32, .NET,Windows Forms, WPF...), you need to package them in other ways. You could see more details in Package desktop applications (Desktop Bridge)

    >How is the price of your app established?

You could set the price(submission/Pricing and availability/Price) for your app when you publish your app in dashboard.More details please refer to Price
