Will the x86 package be available after removing the x64 package? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

At the moment my published UWP app has three packages: x86, x64, and ARM.

Then I submit an app update for x86 and ARM and remove the x64 package. Will existing x64 installations get the x86 package?

    Regards,

Existing x64 installations will get the x86 package if the version of the package you submitted the second time is higher than the version of the package you submitted the first time.

When choosing a UWP package from your published submission, the Microsoft Store will always use the highest-versioned package that is applicable to the customer’s Windows 10 device. When ranking app bundles that use the same version number, the highest architecture rank within the bundle is considered: an app bundle that contains an x64 package will have a higher rank than one that only contains an x86 package. You could get more details from Version numbering for Windows 10 packages
