Win 10 store app download failing yet is visibly installed on device and crashing


  • We just pushed our fourth update to our Windows Store App, it was approved and went live yesterday. This morning I downloaded a fresh install of the app, all previous traces of the app had been removed. But the download from the App Store failed and the message "Try Again" is displayed, however, the app is installed on the machine despite the download apparently failing, and when running the app it crashed at a critical point. The error code for the download failure is "0x80073CF9".

    If this issue is low volume, it may be user specific, in which case they would need to contact our consumer support here.
