[UWP] Determine new app version RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a UWP app in the store. I uploaded an appxupload-File. Is there a way to determine at runtime if a newer version of the app is available in the store?

    Regards,
    Heiko

  • Hi,

There is a API that could query for the updates of the store here:StoreContext.GetAppAndOptionalStorePackageUpdatesAsync Method. This method will get the collection of packages for the current app that have updates available for download from the Microsoft Store, including optional packages for the app.

If the return could is large than 0, it means that are updates.

You could refer how to use it here: Download and install package updates from the Store

    Best regards,

    Roy
