  • Hello everyone.

Using Visual Studio Express 2013 for Windows I got the following error message (translated):

"Your Development account could not be validated by Visual Studio. Storage is not available or unexpected network error."

With the same Visual Studio I deployed an app yesterday and I can still visit my Windows phone Dev Center online. But what can result in that error and even more important - how can I resolve this error. Searching the Internet I found People that seem to have experienced the same issue with Visual Studio 2012 but it is very often called an "unresolved Problem". I hope there are better News for Visual Studio 2013!?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Cheers,

    Tim

  • I am having the same problem.  The message I see when trying to Create App Packages, during the login process which is failing after I enter the texted security code is: "Visual studio was unable to verify your developer account. Either the store is unavailable or an unexpected network error has occurred."

I can log in to the https://dev.windowsphone.com/ via the web browser just fine, and can see my dashboard, etc.  However, I'm completely blocked at this point because I can't build package for a new release of my one existing app (which I published via this process successfully back on 5/29/2014)

I am located in the U.S., and running Visual Studio version as follows:

    Microsoft Visual Studio Ultimate 2013
    Version 12.0.30501.00 Update 2
    Microsoft .NET Framework

Same issue here.  I am unable to access my windows phone developer account from within visual studio.  I have Visual Studio 2013 running on Windows 8.1 Pro Update.  Please assist.

  • I'm an architect in Microsoft's DX team (formerly known as DPE) and I'm also seeing this issue myself this morning. I've escalated the issue internally and will advise as soon as I know more.

  • I successfully submitted an app yesterday but am also seeing this error.

  • The issue appears to have been fixed now and I was able to sign in with Visual Studio and create app packages.
