[UWP]Desktop App Converter minimal screen size and other UI constraint RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am quite interested in the Desktop App Converter. However, I have some doubts on its behavior on special cases where win32/WPF UI is used. For instance, in WPF, we can set the app background to transparent, have unlimited app size control, hiding the windows bar... Will any of these features be persisted with the converted UWP app?

    Thanks!

Yes, as a UWP app, your app is able to do the things it could do as a classic desktop app. It interacts with a virtualized view of the registry and file system that's indistinguishable from the actual registry and file system.

Before the conversion to UWP, please notice the points listed in the "Preparing your desktop app for conversion to UWP" section of this document: Convert your desktop application to a Universal Windows Platform (UWP) app
