[Desktop Bridge]How install sideloading app package RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to publish a native WIN32 program to the Store using Desktop Bridge. The program has a dependeny DLL libxml2.dll. I followed the steps in this doc. But I am not able to install the package. I always get an error that says root certificate is not trusted.

Actually I have already imported AppxTestRootAgency.cer and even AppxTestRootAgency.pfx downloaded from offical doc. I also imported AppPackage_1.0.10.0_x86.cer in MYAPP\AppPackage\AppPackages\AppPackage_1.0.10.0_Test.

    Please help!

  • Hi Neo,

For sideloading app in windows 10, you need to follow the Sideload LOB apps in Windows 10 document.

Please see the 'To import the security certificate' on the document.

       1. Open the security certificate for the appx package, and select Install Certificate.

       2. On the Certificate Import Wizard, select Local Machine.

       3. Import the certificate to the Trusted Root Certification Authorities folder.

Please check if you import the certificate to the right folder.

    Best Regards,

    Xavier
