Command line switch for Edge Browser to open URL in existing window, NOT in a new tab

Question

Hi 

we are having custom made application which has a funtion that allows to call the Edge Browser with a specific URL.

Everytime the function is called a new tab is opened in Edge.

But instead of opening a new tab we want the URL to open in the same existing tab.

Is there a way to have a command line parameter to do that?

Yes, it would be a good feature if the developer is allowed to use the same tab everytime the browser is called! Such feature available already?

Click the hamburger menu icon in the top-right corner. Select “Safe Search” from the menu. Scroll down to the “Results” section and uncheck both “Open links from search results in a new tab or window” and “Open links from news results in a new tab or window.”
