Listening to multiple NetMsmqBinding endpoints RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have a WCF service with a NetMsmqBinding that needs to listen to multiple msmq queues. We have it working with a single endpoint but can not figure out how to get additional endpoints working in the same service. Where we are stuck is we cannot seem to add multiple bindings in the IIS site bindings. Is there a constraint that a web site can only have one net.msmq binding? I see that for the other binding you can put a * but when I do that the service throws a "Invalid URI: The hostname could not be parsed." message.

    Thanks

  • In a lot of samples online I see wildcards being used for the net.msmq listener bindingInformation but it's not working for me. I wonder if they disabled this on on purpose.

  • You mentioned IIS, so i'm assuming you're using WAS, hosting the service in IIS.  Multiple queues are not supported, so no it's not going work.  Sorry about the bad news :)
